Youth Outreach
In addition to the workshops and seminars participants are required to attend monthly community service activities. These activities include: community clean-up and elderly assistance bridging youth with the church and neighborhood associations.
Twelfth Street Heritage Development Corporation (TSHDC) believes by implementing these strategies with the youth in the community, we'll impact the following 1) decrease drug and alcohol use , 2) decrease gang activity and 3) increase the number of high school graduates.
TSHDC’s short-term goal is to market anti-drug and anti-gang related materials to every youth in the designated area which will increase awareness and buy-in by the youth to become proactive in creating a drug free and safe community.
The by-products of this effort will accomplish TSHDC’s long-term goal that is reducing drug use and gang related activity by youth in its community by 30% over the next two years.
We are a COMBAT funded agency.
